It’s my brother’s wedding, and I have one simple task walk my adorable nieces and nephew down the aisle. I’m wearing my favorite platforms.
As we’re making our way, my heel gets caught, and down I go right there, in front of everyone. But here’s the thing I didn’t even try to break my fall because I was holding my niece. My instinct was to protect her at all costs. And I did. No children were harmed in the making of this memory. 🙏
Lying there on the ground, I had a choice be mortified or find the humor. I chose to laugh. Because sometimes, life trips you up literally and all you can do is embrace it.
This experience reminded me that our most embarrassing moments can be our most human. They teach us resilience, humility, and the importance of laughter. It’s not about the fall it’s about how you rise… and sometimes, how you laugh afterward.
