Today is Turbo’s 8th birthday. He first entered our lives saved by Kelly from Lucky Paws from a kill shelter. Adam was completely unaware I was going to get him that day. I managed to dodge his questions all day. I was at Petco shopping for him and Adam said, “You better not be getting that dog.” Since then, Turbo has become an incredible therapy dog. You can tell how special he feels when you put on his therapy vest. Turbo has a weird obsession with airplanes; he loses his mind when he sees one flying overhead. Imagining life without Turbo is unthinkable. He’s not just a pet but a cherished member of our family and a ray of sunshine for so many. Turbo has had extensive dental work. We made him fresh baked dog birthday cookies today: 2 cups of rolled oats, 1/2 cup peanut butter, and two ripe bananas, baked at 300 for about 15 minutes, chewy but biscuit-like.
